To use the external battery, do the following:
1. Turn off your computer.
2. Use the dc-to-dc cable to connect the dc-out connector on the external battery box and the ac power
connector on the computer.
3. Connect the power adapter to the ac power connector on the external battery box.
Note: After the external battery box is properly connected to the computer and the power adapter, the
external battery serves as a backup power supply to ensure that the computer enters hibernation mode
when the power adapter is removed or a power outage occurs.
The two indicators on the external battery box indicate the status of the external battery.

Additional instructions
• In the case of an ac power failure, if the computer is connected to a sufficiently charged external battery,
the computer will turn to be powered by the external battery and enter hibernation state. After the
computer enters hibernation state, the computer will not respond when you press the power button.
• When the ac power supply is restored, the computer will be powered on when you press the power button.
• In the case of an ac power failure, if the computer is in hibernation state, wake up the computer before the
green indicator on the external battery box starts to flash. If the power supply is restored before the green
indicator starts to flash, you do no need to wake up the computer.
• In the case of an ac power failure after the computer has crashed, data backup will not work.
