My sharper image ionic breeze S1861 bulb burnt out; i replaced it with a new bulb and bulb does not turn on, I slid it in, twisted it twice does not work why

    Setup and Operation To reduce the risk of electric shock, this equipment has a ground- ing-type plug that has a third (grounding) pin. This plug will only fit into a grounding-type power outlet. If the plug does not fit into the outlet, contact qualified personnel to install the proper outlet.

    Cleaning the Collection Grid Clean the grid every one or two weeks. As a reminder, the cleaning indicator light turns amber after two weeks. If the cleaning indicator light turns red, the unit has shut down because of exces- sive dirt or circuitry problems. In most cases, a thorough cleaning returns the unit to normal operation.

    Germicidal Lamp Replacement To order replacement lamps directly from The Sharper Image, call 1-800-344-5555 and order item number SI922. Lamps are effective for about 12 months of continuous use. To maintain maximum performance, the lamp should be wiped free of particles every three months.

Otherwise, clean the lamp after installing to remove fingerprints and oils.
