On the Emerson Unidrive M400, the keypad buttons have the following functions:

- Up and Down buttons pressed together: Set the parameter value being edited to 0.
- Left and Right buttons pressed together: Select the least significant digit (furthest right) on the display for editing.
- Up or Down button alone: Scroll through parameters. The list rolls over, so reaching the last parameter continues to the first.
- Left or Right button alone: Navigate within a parameter or menu (if enabled).
- Movement between menus is only possible if all menus have been enabled (Pr 00.010).
