• Swype Connect: Activate social media personalization and
configure data settings:

Register now: Registers for Swype Connect where it does a
backup to the Swype dictionary and synchronizes the dictions
across multiple devices. Touch Register and follow the prompts.

Backup & Sync: Defaulted to On. Touch to deselect if you do
not want the Swype dictionary to backup or synchronize.
–
Contribute usage data: when enabled, allows the Nuance®
application to collect usage data for better word predictions.

Cellular data: when enabled, activates cellular data usage by
the Swype application so it can receive program updates,
language downloads, and other related features via your existing
data connection.
• Personalization: Edit the Swype dictionary or to personalize
one of the following:

Edit Dictionary: Remove dictionary entries.

Facebook: Log into your current Facebook account and add
contact names to your Swype's personal dictionary for later use
when you enter names into text fields. Helps recognize familiar
names.

Twitter: Sign into your existing Twitter account and add names
and words to your personal dictionary. Helps recognize familiar
names and words.

Gmail: Sign in to your existing Gmail account and add existing
contact information to your personal dictionary. Helps recognize
familiar names.
• Updates: Update the application, if new software is available.
Speech
Set the speech settings for Voice search.
1. From a Home screen, touch
Language and input.
2. Touch Voice search to configure:
• Language: Choose a language for your voice input.
• Speech output: Always provides audible readout of text, or
only when using Hands-free functions.
• Block offensive words: Enable or disable blocking of
recognized offensive words from the results of your voice-input
Google searches.
