    STRAIGHT CUTTING (Fig. 6) Fig. 6 Mark the cut. Position the saw so that the blade is in line with the desired cut. Mark the position of the side edge of the saw base and then clamp the straight edge on the mark, parallel to the cut.

    054-8289-8 METAL CUTTING When cutting metal, always clamp down the material. Be careful to move the saw along slowly. Use lower speeds. Do not twist, bend, or force the blade. If the saw jumps or bounces, use a blade with finer teeth. If the blade is clogged when cutting soft metal, use a blade with coarser teeth.
