    Getting Started Using the Remote Control To use the remote control, point it at the front of the DVD player, towards the sensor which is situated on the front to the right of the DVD player. The remote control will work up to 6 metres from the DVD player and at an angle of up to 30 degrees. Do not block the path of the beam from the remote control to the DVD player.

    03 Setup Menus Video Setup Menu The Video Setup menu contains the Panel Quality option. Panel Quality This option enables you to alter the Sharpness, Brightness, Contrast, Hue and Saturation levels of the television picture to suit your personal preference. The sharpness level can be set to High, Medium or Low.

  • Page 16 03 Setup Menus Audio This option enables you to select the language used for the audio output. The default is English. Note: This feature is only available if the DVD has the different audio languages. Refer to the DVD case for details.

    04 Changing the Battery in the Remote Control The remote control may come with the battery already installed and an insulating plastic tag between the battery and one of its contacts. To remove the plastic tag, pull the plastic tag sticking out of the battery compartment.

    Care and Maintenance Handling Discs To remove a disc from its storage case, press down on the centre of the case and lift the disc out. Hold the disc by the edges, to avoid touching the recorded side of the disc. Fingerprints and dust should be carefully wiped from the disc’s surface with a soft cloth.

    06 Troubleshooting If a fault occurs, first check the points listed below before taking the DVD player for repair. Do not dismantle the DVD player as there is a risk of electric shock. If you are unable to rectify a problem by following these hints, consult your dealer or service centre. WARNING: Under no circumstances should you try to repair the DVD player yourself, as this will invalidate the warranty.
