6. TEMPERATURE SETTING

As a setting aid, the adjusting knob of the electric heater's temperature controller has 4 main stages,
namely:
Position: ✸
frost protection for the tank (up to 30 °C)
approx. 40 °C, hand warm tank water
••
approx. 60 °C, moderately hot tank water
This position is recommended to rule out unintentiona
scalding by excessively hot water. The device operates
particularly economically at this setting. The heat losses
are minor and the formation of boiler scale is largely
avoided.
Low standby energy consumption.
••• approx. 80 °C, hot tank water
Caution:
The adjusting knob at the left limit stop does not result in an off position or shutdown of the device
heating.
The water may still have a temperature of 30 °C when operated in the ✸ frost protection position.
The temperature controller should not be set to a higher position than •• (approx. 60 °C) when
operated using day current.
Due to the hysteresis of the temperature controller (± 7 K) and possible radiation losses (cooling of the
pipeline), the temperature specifications are subject to an accuracy of ± 10 K.

7. OPERATING CONDITIONS

The tanks must be used exclusively in accordance with the conditions specified on the rating plate.
The maximum inlet pressure corresponds with the nominal pressure stated on the rating plate. Aside
from the legally approved national regulations and standards, the connecting requirements of the
local power company and waterworks, as well as the Mounting and Operating Instructions must be
complied with. The room in which the device is operated must be free of frost.
The device must be mounted at a location that may reasonably be expected, i.e. it must be possible to
access and replace the device without difficulties for the purpose of necessary maintenance, repairs
and possible replacement. The hot water tank must only be connected with permanent piping. In the
case of heavily calciferous water, we recommend the upstream integration of a customary anti-liming
device or a maximum operating temperature of approx. 60 °C (position ••).
An appropriate quality (according to drinking water ordinance) of drinking water is required for proper
operation.
To avoid possible ingresses of particles, we recommend the upstream integration of a water filter.
