Adjusting the Cutting Height

WARNING
Adjusting the cutting height may bring you into
contact with the moving blade, causing serious
injury.
• Stop the engine and wait for all moving parts
to stop.
• Do not put your fingers under the housing when
adjusting the cutting height.
CAUTION
If the engine has been running, the muffler will be
hot and can severely burn you. Keep away from the
hot muffler.
Adjust the cutting height as desired.
Note: To raise the mower, move the cutting height
lever forward; to lower the mower, move the cutting
height lever rearward (Figure 9).

Note: The approximate cutting height settings are A=1
inch (25 mm); B=1-1/2 inch (38 mm); C=2 inches (51
mm); D=2-1/2 inches (64 mm); E=3-1/4 inches (83
mm); F=3-3/4 inches (95 mm); and G=4-1/4 inches
(108 mm).

Adjusting the Handle Height

You may raise or lower the handle to a position
comfortable for you.
Rotate the handle lock, move the handle to one of three
positions, and lock the handle into position (Figure 10).

Starting the Engine

1. Firmly push in the primer 3 times with your thumb,
holding the primer in for a second before releasing
it each time (Figure 11).
