Servicing the Fuel Filter
Service Interval: Every 400 hours
1. Clean the area around the fuel filter head

2. Remove the filter and clean the filter-head mounting
surface
(Figure
32).
3. Lubricate the filter gasket with clean lubricating engine
oil; refer to the Engine Operator's Manual.
4. Install the dry filter canister, by hand, until the gasket
contacts the filter head, then rotate it an additional
1/2 turn.
5. Start the engine and check for fuel leaks around the
filter head.
Servicing the Fuel-Pickup
Tube
The fuel-pickup tube, located inside the fuel tank, is equipped
with a screen to help prevent debris from entering the fuel
system. Remove fuel pick-up tube and clean the screen as
required.
