Ballast C.B.A. Service Position
Plug in the AC Cord and turn the power ON.
Is there a slight crackling sound from the Ballast P.C.B.
after approx. 5 seconds?
OK
After the Lamp Error (Error No. 5) is indicated (the
Lamp LED flashes once), unplug the AC Cord and
connect the Lamp Connector to the Lamp.
CAUTION:
Do not touch any parts for at least 5 minutes
after disconnecting AC plug to reduce the risk
of electric shock.
Before checking parts, confirm that the voltage
between TP1301 and TP1302 is 0 V.
If not, discharge TP1301 and TP1302 at a
resistance of approx. 100 /5 W for about
3 seconds.
Plug in the AC Cord again and turn the power ON.
Does the Lamp light up?
OK
There is no problem with the Ballast C.B.A.
After discharging the voltage between TP1301(+) and
TP1302(-), reinstall the Shield Case (the Ballast
Shield Case Top and the Ballast Shield Case Bottom)
of the Ballast C.B.A.
CAUTION:
Do not touch any parts for at least 5 minutes
after disconnecting AC plug to reduce the risk
of electric shock.
Before checking parts, confirm that the voltage
between TP1301 and TP1302 is 0 V.
If not, discharge TP1301 and TP1302 at a
resistance of approx. 100 /5 W for about
3 seconds.

Unplug the AC Cord and plug it in again.
NG
Turn the power ON.
Check the voltage at the following points while the
Power LED (D6701) is flashing green.
P1301-Pin 5(+) <--> P1301-Pin 4(-): Approx. 19V
P1301-Pin 2(+) <--> P1301-Pin 1(-): Approx. 17V
Check the Power C.B.A.
(Refer to "CHECKING THE POWER C.B.A.")
NG
Replace U1301.
(If still NG even after replacement of U1301,
replace the Ballast C.B.A.)

between TP1301 and TP1302 is 0 V.
If not, discharge TP1301 and TP1302 at a
