Changing the Mower Deck
Front-to-Rear Pitch
Changing the front-to-rear pitch is done by adjusting the
front height-of-cut posts.
1. To change the front-to-rear pitch, the front
height-of-cut posts can be adjusted (Figure 68).

2. To raise the front of the deck, loosen jam nut and
rotate the front pin clockwise (Figure 68).
3. To lower the front of the deck, loosen jam nut and
rotate the front pin counter clockwise (Figure 68).
4. Position the blades front-to-rear. Measure at C and
D locations (Figure 66) from a level surface to the
cutting edge of the blades.
5. Check the side-to-side leveling of the cutting unit.
6. Tighten the jam nuts (Figure 68).
Checking the Mower Deck
Side-to-Side Height
1. Adjust the rear tire pressure to specifications; refer
to Drive System Maintenance (page 30) .
2. Position the blades side-to-side. Measure at C and
D locations from a level surface to the cutting edge
of blade tips (Figure 69). For 36 inch mower decks
use Figure 70.
