Canning

Always follow the USDA canning
guidelines.
Canning Containers
Danger of injury!
Do not use the appliance to heat up
or can food in sealed jars or
containers.
Pressure will build up inside them
and they can explode causing
damage to the appliance, as well as
the risk of injury and scalding.
Convection Bake
For canning large quantities of fruit and
vegetables [max. 5 jars, 1/2 pint (1/2 l)
each].
Only use jars designed for canning:
– Canning jars, or
– Jars with twist-off lids.
Microwave
For canning small quantities of fruit and
vegetables.
Only use special jars for canning.
Sparking can be cause by metal
brackets on jars!
Close the jars with clear adhesive
tape or with clips suitable for
microwave use.Never use metal clips
or jars with screw-on lids.

Prepare the jars in the usual way. Fill
the jars up to 3/4" (2 cm) below the
rim.
