start the engine and operate the machine.

Throttle Control
The throttle control has two positions: Fast and Slow.
Blade Control Bail
The bail is used in conjunction with the blade control lever
(PTO) to engage the clutch and drive the mower blades.
Releasing the blade control bail will stop the engine with the
PTO engaged.
Blade Control Lever (PTO)
This lever is used in conjunction with the blade control bail
to engage and disengage the mower deck belt and drive the
mower blades.
Gear Shift Lever
The transmission has five forward speeds, neutral and reverse,
and has an in-line shift pattern.
Important: Do not shift while unit is moving, as
transmission damage may occur.
