Timer indicator is blinking

DVD/CD/Video CD player

Problem
The disc is ejected
automatically after loading.
Playback is not possible.
Picture playback stops and
the operation buttons
cannot be used.
Settings are canceled.
No picture/No color.
Screen is stretched or
aspect does not change.
CD won't play.
Remedy
• Unplug the system, then plug back in. Wait for one minute then
switch on.
• Make sure the fan at the rear of the system unit is not being
blocked.
• Check that the speakers are connected correctly.
• Make sure the voltage of the mains power source is correct for the
model.
• If the problem persists, take it to your nearest Pioneer
authorized service center or your dealer for servicing.
Remedy
• Clean the disc.
• Align the disc properly in the disc guide.
• If the region number on a DVD-video disc does not match the
number on the system unit, the disc cannot be used (see DVD Video
regions on page 86).
• Allow time for any condensation inside the system unit to evaporate.
Avoid using the system near an air-conditioning unit.
• If the disc is loaded upside down, reload the disc with the label side
face up.
• Press (stop), then
• Switch the power off once, then on again using the front panel
STANDBY/ON
button.
• When the power is cut due to power failure or by unplugging the
power cable, settings will be canceled.
• Check that connections are correct and that plugs are inserted fully.
• Check the instruction manual of the TV/monitor to make sure the
TV/monitor settings are incorrect.
• The video output is set to progressive but your TV/monitor is not
compatible with progressive scan: See About progressive scan video
on page 77 for how to set to interlace.
• The TV Screen setting is incorrect. Set the TV Screen option to
match the TV/monitor you're using (see TV Screen on page 76).
• Set the PhotoViewer menu option in the Initial Settings menu to Off
to be able to play some copy-protected CDs. See also PhotoViewer on
page 84.
