DESCRIPTION OF THE APPLIANCE

OPERATION
Caution! NEVER use the unit without water in the drip tray. The water level must be be-
tween the MIN & MAX marks.
1) Switch the unit on by setting the required temperature using the thermostat knob. To do this,
turn the ("MIN/MAX") knob clockwise. The unit heats up automatically to the set temperature
and then turns the heat off. The pilot light turns on while the appliance is being heated up.
Should the temperature fall below the set temperature (pilot light off), the appliance heats up
again and the pilot light turns on again. This way, a constant temperature is maintained.
2) The grill rack heats up in about 15 minutes. The grill rack can be placed at 3 different height
positions to ensure the optimum distance between the food and the heating element.
3) For lengthy grilling it is advisable to set the temperature as high as possible.
4) This unit can be used to grill sausages, meat, fi sh etc. Materials like charcoal and wood may
not be used for this. Put the food directly onto the grill rack.
5) Do not cover the grill rack with fi lm (aluminium foil, transparent fi lm, etc).
6) When you fi nish grilling turn the thermostat knob to "MIN". The unit will cool down. Remove
the plug from the socket.
Do not move the unit until it has cooled down.
Ensure that the thermostat is inserted correctly into the base. Otherwise the unit cannot be
used.
The thermostat is fi tted with a safety switch. The heating element switches off automatically
if the thermostat is removed from the unit.
Do not touch the heating element when it is on. It gets extremely hot.
