SIMPAL-T2 GSM Temperature Alerter USER MANUAL

2.3 Define the users

Only one Master user and four Family users have authorization to use
the alerter. The other mobile phone users have no authorization to use
the alerter.

Note for SMS commands
• The "#" symbol must not be ignored when typing an SMS
command.
• No allow any space within all commands.
2.3.1 Define the Master number
If the alerter is being used for the first time, or it has been reset to factory
settings, the Master user's number must be programmed into the alerter.
The user must edit and send the following SMS to the alerter via his/her
mobile phone (the phone number will be the Master number) in order to:
Add a Master number to the alerter:
• Successful SMS reply

After add a Master number to the alerter , The Master user can change
the master number to a new number. The Master user sends following
SMS message in order to:
Change the master user's number:
& NewMasterNumber should be the new Master user's mobile
phone number.
Or the alerter should be reset to factory settings to remove old Master
that this alerter is used in an area with a strong GSM
network signal.
For the first time use, the user should perform a test-run
by sending SMS to the alerter. This allows the user to
check the GSM network connection of the alerter.

SMS messages may not be received on the SimPal-T2 if:

1. The SIM card is not available or inserted properly.
2. The GSM signal strength is too weak.
3. SMS notifications are disabled using commands like #04#0#, #05#0#, or #15#0#.
4. The number sending the SMS is not a registered Master or Family number.
5. The maximum number of Family numbers (4) has been reached, and a new number is not added correctly.
6. The phone number format exceeds 16 digits or is entered incorrectly.

Check SIM status, signal strength, notification settings, and authorized numbers.
