With vinyl facing outward and fiberglass against water heater surface,
loosely wrap insulation blanket around water heater. Align pre-cut
openings in insulation blanket with drain valve, control covers and
temperature and pressure relief valve of water heater. When
components on water heater align with corresponding pre-cut openings,
secure one end of insulation blanket to water heater using a 5" piece of
tape. See below.
Wrap other end of insulation blanket around water heater until ends of
the insulation blanket overlap. Using another 5" piece of tape, secure
the overlapped edge to the insulation blanket. Use tape to cover vertical
seam created by exposed edge of the insulation blanket.
