• Avoid the use of extension cords. When possible, plug the computer power cord directly into an electrical
outlet.
• Keep power cords and cables neatly routed away from walkways and other areas where they might

Ease of Access Center
Ease of Access Center on the Windows operating system enables users to configure their computers to
suit their physical and cognitive needs.
To use Ease of Access Center, do the following:
1. Depending on your Windows version, do one of the following:
• For Windows 7: Click the Start button to open the Start menu, and then click Control Panel. View
Control Panel using Large icons or Small icons, and then click Ease of Access Center.
• For Windows 8.1: Move the pointer to the top-right or bottom-right corner of the screen to display the
charms. Then, click Settings ➙ Change PC settings ➙ Ease of Access.
• For Windows 10: Click the Start button to open the Start menu. Then, click Settings ➙ Ease of
Access.
2. Choose the appropriate tool by following the instructions on the screen.
