Installation Instructions

INSTALLING THE INDUCTION GENERATOR

The generator can be installed up to 3.05 meters or
10 feet away from the induction coils/glass-top. The
distance is restricted by the lengths of the cables.
The generator can be installed horizontally or vertically.
Do not obstruct the rating plate.
Use brackets to secure the generator to the cabinet.
Brackets and fasteners for installation are not provided.

INSTALLING THE CONTROL UNIT

Cut-out dimensions, see Cut-out Dimensions: Holes and
Studs for Control / Operation unit on page 27.
Mount the unit onto a non-combustible surface.
Mounting brackets are provided.
The unit can be mounted in a number of orientations.
See X and Y versions in Cut-out Dimensions: Holes and
Studs for Control / Operation unit on page 27
Maximum distance allowed between the control unit
and other components. See Electrical Cables on page
30 and Installation distance between components on
page 28.
Do not block the service interface.
See Dimensions: Control Unit on page 23
Fasteners for installation are not provided.

INSTALLING THE OPERATION UNIT (POWER SWITCH)

Cut-out dimensions, see Cut-out Dimensions: Holes and
Studs for Control / Operation unit on page 27.
Mount the unit onto a non-combustible surface.
The unit must be mounted UPRIGHT onto the back of a
panel.
Thickness of panel for mounting the unit, typical
thickness = 1.5mm [16 gauge]. Maximum thickness =
3mm [12 gauge]. This restriction ensures a proper grip
on the knob.
The knob and indication lamp must not be obstructed
by installation.
Use two (2) M4 screws to secure each switch to the
panel. The screws prevent the switch from rotating.
Failure to perform this installation step will cause the
switch to dislodge or rotate during operation.
Fasteners for installation are not provided.
