- Page 2 General Dehumidifier Information RECOMMENDED HUMIDITY LEVELS ACCORDING TO ENERGY STAR Spring/Summer: 30% - 50% Fall/Winter: 30% - 40% WARM AIR EXHAUST IS NORMAL During operation your dehumidifier will exhaust warm air from the top of the unit. This is normal operation. EMPTYING THE BUCKET The more moisture your dehumidifier removes from the air, the more often you may have to empty the bucket (unless you are using the continuous drainage option).
