Phone Book Lock is active. Deactivate Phone Book Lock.
• This may occur just after turning 820P on. Return to Standby and retry later.

• Does appear? Is 820P out-of-range or in a location where signal is weak?
Move to a location where signal is strong.
• Is AC Charger (not included) firmly connected to 820P or Desktop Holder (not included)?

• Is AC Charger securely plugged into an outlet?
• Is battery installed in 820P correctly? (ZP.1-13)
• Is 820P correctly mounted in Desktop Holder?
• Make sure 820P, battery, Desktop Holder and AC Charger terminals are clean.
• Battery may not charge beyond +5°C and +35°C.
• Battery may need to be replaced.
• AC Charger/Desktop Holder may warm during charging.
820P may warm during long use. This is normal if you can hold it comfortably. Low temperature
burns may occur if 820P is held against skin for long periods.
• Battery Operating Time may be reduced by environmental factors such as temperature, charging
conditions or signal strength, as well as by operations or settings. See "Charging Time &
Operating Time Estimates" (ZP.1-11) and "Battery Time" (ZP.1-12).
