Problem
820P does not turn on
Handset functions do not work after
turning power on

Insert USIM Invalid USIM
appears when 820P is turned on or
operations attempted
Keypad does not respond
Calls or Video Calls cannot be
connected or message and Internet
connections are not available
Calls or Video Calls cannot be
connected
• Was pressed for more than three seconds?

• Is battery level sufficient?
• Is battery inserted properly? (ZP.1-13)
• Does PIN Entry window appear?
PIN Entry is . Enter PIN1 (ZP.10-2).
ON
• Is USIM Card inserted correctly? (ZP.1-3)
• Unusable USIM Card may be inserted (ZP.1-2).
• USIM Card IC chip may be dirty.
Wipe with a clean cloth, then insert USIM Card correctly.
• Does appear in Standby?
Keyguard is locked (ZP.10-4). Press
• Does appear in Standby?
Password Lock is active (ZP.10-4). Enter 4-digit Handset Code (ZP.1-24) to release it.
• Does appear?
Is 820P out-of-range or in a location where signal is weak?
Move to a location where signal is strong.
• Are you using handset overseas?
You must select an operator and set international settings to use handset abroad (ZP.2-12).

Messaging Lock is active. Deactivate Messaging Lock.
