Hardware Installation Dear Customer, thanks for purchasing one of our Ebode products. Before we start we recommend to visit our website and see if there is a newer version of this manual available http://www.ebodeelectronics.eu. For the first setup we need to connect our camera using a network cable so let’s start with plugging in the network cable.

You can access the camera through IP Camera Tool or Internet Explorer (IE), Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome or other standard browser directly. We need to change the default port number of the camera: Open the IP Camera Tool from your Desktop, select the ebode camera (it will turn blue), right-mouse click and choose “network configuration”. The default port of the camera is “80”, please change “80” to any other port you like, such as 81, 82, 83 etc.
If we see the correct STATIC IP and Port number we can continue with the “Port-Forward”, this is needed because when we want to look from outside our LAN (Home) to our camera image, our modem will block the request since it will think we are an intruder to the network. March 2013 IPV38 / IPV38WE...

4. Service name: enter a name for your camera (e.g. IPV38). 5. Protocol: “TCP”. 6. Public Port: set your Port Number from the previous steps. 7. Private IP: set the chosen STATIC IP from the previous steps. 8. Private Port: set our chosen Port Number again.
