2.9 Interface Cable
Connect the printer to a Windows® PC or Macintosh®.
2.9.1 Connecting the Interface Cable
Turn off the printer, and connect an appropriate interface cable to the correct
connector on the rear of the printer.
2.9.2 Setting the Network
Refer to Chapter 5 Printer Driver for connecting the printer onto a
Windows® PC or Macintosh system using either the Lan or USB connector.
When you use TCP/IP protocol, you can set the IP address, the subnet mask,
and the gateway address on the control panel of the printer (see Chapter 4.9,
"Network Menu").
Chapter 2 Installation
LAN interface connector
This connector is used for 10BASE-T
or 100BASE-TX LAN connection of the
printer.
USB interface connector
This connector is used for USB
cable connection of the printer.
