LINE IN jack (back of the unit)
For connecting analogue playback units. You can also use this jack to listen to audio output
from other playback units such as an MP3 player, a CD player etc. via a speaker.
1. Connect an external unit to the LINE IN jack using a 3.5 mm stereo cinch connector.
2. The unit switches automatically to LINE IN mode. The radio sound is switched off.
3. Listen to the audio playback from an external device via the speaker. Use the VOLUME
control (5) to adjust the volume.
4. For further instructions, please refer to the user manual of the external audio source.
NOTE:
• Set the volume of the external device to a reasonable level.
• No alarm buzzer can be heard if a cable is connected to the LINE IN jack!
Cleaning
CAUTION:
Do not dip the appliance in water.
• Remove the plug before cleaning.
• Clean the appliance with a slightly humid cloth without any additives.
Trouble-shooting
Problem
The unit cannot be oper-

The unit is blocked and
"hangs"

Solution
Pull the mains plug for ap-
proximately 5 seconds. Then
connect the unit again
Disconnect the cable from
the LINE IN jack
Set the time/alarm time
whilst the unit is switched on
Switch the alarm time/pro-
jection on or off whilst the
unit is switched on
