Connecting a VCR

Connecting a normal VCR

When connecting a normal (AV) VCR, we recommend that you connect it to Scart 3
Connect the Scart output terminal on the VCR to Scart 3 on the back of the TV set using a full 21 pin Scart lead.
If you are using a Set Top Box, connect it to Scart 4 or 5.
When you press Play button on the VCR, the TV should automatically display the video signal. If it does not, press
the
button repeatedly, or press the OK, then press the
source. The TV, EXT1, EXT2, EXT3, EXT4, EXT5, EXT6, or RGB/PC source will be selected in order. For further
information, see page 31.

Connecting a VCR with S-video

Connect the Scart output terminal on the VCR to Scart 3
Ensure that S-VIDEO is selected for EXT3 rather than AV as described on page 30. When you press Play button on the
VCR, the TV should automatically display the video signal. If it does not, press the
OK, then press the
EXT5, EXT6, or RGB/PC source will be selected in order. For further information, see page 31.
