ERROR MESSAGES GUIDE
If you make an error when controlling the
VCR, messages indicating the problem are
~
displayed for about 3 seconds.
Message
NO SIGNAL
NO CASSETTE
TIMER MEMORY
FULL
WRITE
PROTECTED
CASSEITE
TIMER RECORDING
YOUR VCR WILL
BE OFF SHORTLY
THERE IS NOT
ENOUGH TAPE
LENGTH TO
RECORD THE
ENTIRE
PROGRAMME.

Error meeeage
Cause
The antenna cable is not
connected properly.
A programme
position where no
station has been preset is
selected.
Trying to playback a tape with no
recording on it (no signal).
A button for playback,
fast-forward,
rewind, recording
etc. has been pressed, but no
tape is loaded in the VCR.
A timer recording is preset, but
no tape is loaded in the VCR.
Trying to programme
a timer
recording when the VCR timer
memory is full (maximum 6
programmed).
When the VCR tries to go into
recording standby mode but the
loaded cassette does not have an
erasure-prevention
tab. (The
cassette is ejected automatically.)
When a timer recording is set, if
the VCR power is on less than 5
minutes before the recording starl
time, this will indicate that the
timer recording is about to start.
When the off timer function is set.
Approximately
5 minutes before
the power is turned off
automatically,
the message is
displayed on-screen for about 10
seconds, to warn the user before
turning the power off.
The programmed
recording is
onger than the remaining blank
~ortion of the tape.
Remedy
Check and correct the antenna
connection.
Select a different programme
position or adjust the preset
programme position.
Insert a recorded cassette.
Load a cassette tape.
First erase one or all of the 6
programmes
already entered.
Load a blank tape or a tape that
can be recorded on with
erasure-prevention
tab.
Set the VCR to recording standby
mode.
If the VCR is not being used, turn
the power off.
Change the tape speed from
SP to LP mode.
Use a different cassette tape.
In such a case, programming
will be restarted from the
beginning.

When a timer recording is programmed
using the buttons on the VCR, without using the remote
control, the message "NO CASSEITE
is
di~played. This special method requires that no tape be
loaded in the VCR when the
REC
button is pressed.
