It enables you to remotely access and control a computer or KVM switch up to 6400 feet (2000 m) away from using only fiber optic cable. Chapter 4: Operation 4.3 Selecting Computers Using Keyboard Hotkey Commands A hotkey command is a short key sequence that selects a computer, activates a computer scan, etc. The KVM extender interprets keystrokes for hotkeys all the time no matter what the connection pattern is. Standard Mode is defined as the state of the KVM extender without any connection to any KVM switch.
