Glossary

4G:
short for fourth generation, it is the fourth generation of mobile
telecommunications technology, succeeding 3G.
Wi-Fi:
is a local area wireless computer networking technology that allows
Wi-Fi enabled devices to connect to network (smartphones tablets, laptops
some printers an some TVs).
Ethernet: is a technology to set up local area network (LANs).
An ethernet cable may be required as an alternative to wifi to connect to
computers.
CPE - Customer Premises Equipment:
equipment located at a subscriber's premises and connected with a carrier's
telecommunication channel.
GB - Gigabyte:
is a multiple of the unit byte for digital information, therefore
one gigabyte is 1000,000,000 bytes
LAN - Local Area Network:
computers or smart devices within a limited area such as a home, school,
computer laboratory, or office building, using network media.
FUP - Fair Usage Policy:
usage after data cap was reached: service interruption or reduced speed.
Bill Cycle:
the period of time between your bill statements.
Data Cap:
refers to the limit on the amount of data you can use over your
internet connection.
