LOCATION
• Place and store away from direct sunlight, e.g., do NOT place or store under a window or next to a
sliding glass patio door.
• Do NOT place or store the unit where it can call or be pulled into water or any other liquid.
• Your unit should be used in such a way that it is protected from moisture, e.g., condensation and
splashes of water.
• Do NOT operate your unit in a wet room, such as a bathroom or laundry room, or in any other
room that will get wet.
• Do NOT use the unit in the presence of inflammable substances or vapours, such as alcohol,
insecticide, petrol, etc.
• Ensure that there is at least 30cm of clear space all around the unit.
• Do NOT place the unit in front of drapes, curtains or other hangings, in case they fall against the
rear air intake.
• Do NOT place near furniture and walls.
• Do NOT operate this unit in an enclosed cabinet area.
OPERATION
• Do NOT cover and/or obstruct the unit.
• Do NOT place objects or let any person or pet sit on top of the unit.
• Never remove any fixed covers.
• Never use the unit if it is not working properly, or has been dropped or damaged. Contact a
qualified service agent for assistance.
• Never use the mains socket switch or plug to start and stop the unit. Always use the ON/OFF
switch on the unit or remote control.
• Do NOT operate the unit near other electrical / electronic items.
• Do NOT operate the unit with wet/damp hands, or when barefoot.
• Do not operate this appliance with anything other than your hands. Do not use the appliance with
wet hands.
• Do not wet the housing or control panel.
• Make sure the unit is thoroughly dry before use.
• Always operate with the filter and grille correctly and securely installed.
• If not using the unit for a long time (e.g., going on holiday), disconnect it from the mains socket.
• Do NOT insert hands or fingers or other objects into the air inlet or outlet at any time.
BATTERIES
• Batteries used in the remote control for this unit are easily swallowed by young children and this
is dangerous.
• Keep loose batteries away from young children and make sure that the battery holder tray is
secure in the remote control. Seek medical advice if you believe a cell has been swallowed.
• Please dispose of batteries correctly by following the guidance in this manual.
• Do not expose the battery to direct sunlight or sources of excessive heat.
