The filter-drier used on Manitowoc ice machines are manufactured to Manitowoc specifications. The difference between a Manitowoc drier and an off-the-shelf drier is in filtration. A Manitowoc drier has dirt-retaining filtration, with fiberglass filters on both the inlet and outlet ends. This is very important because ice machines have a back-flushing action that takes place during every harvest cycle.
