Additional Feature table
Adding DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name System) feature on
Configuration window and Network window
DDNS parameter is added on Configuration window displayed
by Setup CD-ROM and Network window on Setup Page of
Network Camera. DDNS feature allows you to access a
Network Camera by a domain name like
"xxxxx.viewnetcam.com" after registering for Viewnetcam
service.
Setting Home Positioning
Home Positioning allows you to fix the lens on a specific
point.
Viewing Buffered Image Screen
Images can be buffered in the internal memory of the Network
Camera. They can be viewed by clicking [Start Capture] on
Capture screen. Alarm/Timer mode in the Image Transfer on
page 13 can also buffer images.

  • Page 5 Operating Instructions When you use a Network Camera in DHCP feature, check [DHCP] and enter the Host Name if your ISP requires. If you automatically get the address of Default Gateway and DNS server from DHCP server, you do not need to set Verify that your ISP supports DHCP.

    Operating Instructions Viewnetcam service DDNS feature DDNS feature allows you to access a Network Camera by a domain name like "xxxxx.viewnetcam.com" after registering for Viewnetcam service. Select a Network Camera to register for Viewnetcam service on Network Camera List window. Click [Select]. Confirm on Configuration window that Default Gateway and DNS server are correctly configured.

Camera Setup window can lock the Home Positioning feature. Saving or modifying the home position button 1) Click [Program].

    Operating Instructions Viewing Buffered Image Screen Images can be buffered in the internal memory of the Network Camera. They can be viewed by clicking [Start Capture] on Capture screen. Alarm/Timer mode in the Image Transfer on page 13 can also buffer images. The current images will be buffered in the internal memory of the Network Camera.
  • Page 10 The internal memory will be divided by the number of trigger settings in Image Transfer. If all three trigger settings are enabled, the Network Camera can buffer approximately 26 frames (KX-HCM10) or 186 frames (KX-HCM230) for each trigger setting at a resolution of 320 x 240.
  • Page 11: Viewing Still Images On Your Mobile Phone

    • Some mobile phones cannot display still images depending on their models. Refer to the Network Camera Technical Support Site at http:// panasonic.co.jp/pcc/en/ for the models that Panasonic has verified with the Network Camera. • When a Network Camera sets authentication for security, a mobile phone should support authentication feature, too.
  • Page 12 Operating Instructions Adjusting Clock for Summer Time Adjust Clock for Summer Time is added on Name/Time window. Added Instructions for the data field Adjust During Summer Time, clock is turned forward an hour. The Clock for clock will shift one hour forward at the set time on the Start Day, Summer and move back one hour at the set time on the End Day.

    Operating Instructions Transferring camera images The Network Camera can buffer images and send them via e-mail or FTP by configuring Image Transfer. Capture, Alarm and Timer can be used simultaneously by checking [Enable] for Controls on each of their Image Transfer windows.

    Operating Instructions Transfer in the Alarm Mode The alarm mode can transfer images via e-mail or FTP when the alarm trigger is active. Check [Enable] for Alarm Control when activating Alarm mode. Added Check [Enable] when activating Alarm mode.

    Operating Instructions Transfer in the Timer Mode The timer mode can be activated by entering the active time, the image setting, frequency setting and the transfer method on Image Transfer window. Buffered image can also be transferred via e-mail or FTP. Check [Enable] for Timer Control when activating Timer mode.
  • Page 16 Operating Instructions Login timing Login timing is added in both the Alarm Mode and the Timer Mode in the Image Transfer feature. [Every Time] or [One Time] can be selected. When selecting [Every Time], Network Camera repeats logging in and out with each transfer of one image.
