Cable orders
pSeries and p5 cables
One SCSI cable must be specified on the initial plant order if the single bus feature (#9207) is specified. If the split
internal SCSI bus feature (#1208 or #9206) is ordered, a second SCSI cable must be ordered. The following table shows
the various SCSI cable feature numbers that can be ordered depending on the host system adapter to which the IBM
®
7212 TotalStorage
Storage Device Enclosure Model 102 will be attached.

Additional cables can be purchased as MES features.

Only 7212 Model 102 with SCSI-LVD feature numbers 1100, 1103, 1104, 1105, 1106, 1107, 1108, and 1109 can use the 4.5 m and
10.0 m SCSI cables. Feature numbers 1101 and 1102 are single-ended devices and are not supported by these cables. Also, if
using the 10 meter cable, the 7212 must be the only device on the bus.
Refer to the Specify Features in the Sales Manual for a detailed description of the above features.
Split internal SCSI bus cable assembly
Use the following tables to determine the maximum SCSI cable length per bus, using split internal SCSI bus cable
assembly, feature numbers 1208 or 9206. Feature number 9206 includes two LVD/DE terminators.
