Steam Cook

Steam is a sensor cooking function that uses microwaves
to steam food. Use Steam for foods such as vegetables,
fish and potatoes.
Times and cooking powers have been preprogrammed for
steaming a number of food types.
Use a microwave-safe steamer.
Use the following chart as a guide.

*Manual Steam requires that a cook time be entered.
To Use Programmed Steam Cook:
1. Press COOKING FEATURES.
2. Press the left or right arrow keys until Steam Cook is
highlighted, then press the quickset pad below Steam Cook.
3. Use the arrow keys and quickset pad to select the
appropriate built-in food category.
4. Use the arrow keys and quickset pad to select one of the
preset quantities.
5. To set the desired Doneness, press the quickset pad below
Doneness, then press the left or right arrow keys.
6. When the desired doneness is highlighted, press the quickset
pad below Ok.
7. For more information and instructions, press the quickset pad
below Instruction.
8. Press START. The display will count down the cook time.
When the stop time is reached, the oven will
shut off automatically.
If enabled, end-of-cycle tones will sound.
9. (Optional) After the cooking cycle ends, press the quickset
pad below More Options to enter the Cooking Menu, then
press the quickset pad next to Keep Warm. This will start a
new cooking cycle that will keep food warm. The microwave
will run at 10% power for 60 minutes. See the "Keep Warm"
section for additional information.
10. (Optional) After the cooking cycle ends, press the START
ADD 30 SEC FOR MICROWAVE button. This will
automatically add 30 seconds to the cook time. Press the
quickset pad below More Options to enter the Cooking
Menu, then press the quickset pad below Add More Time to
go to the Cook Timer screen if necessary.
11. Press CANCEL (or CANCEL UPPER on combo models) to
turn off the oven.

Do not use regular paper bags or glassware.
Pop only 1 package of popcorn at a time.
Follow manufacturer's instructions when using a microwave
popcorn popper.
Listen for popping to slow to 1 pop every 1 or 2 seconds,
then stop the cycle. Do not repop unpopped kernels.
For best results, use fresh bags of popcorn.
Cooking results may vary by brand and fat content.
Popping time has been preset based on commercially packaged
microwave popcorn. The oven is preset for the 3.5 oz (99 g) size,
but can be changed.
The microwave oven uses the sensor to determine the size of
the popcorn bag being popped. Bags between 1.75 oz (50 g)
and 3.5 oz (99 g) can be popped.
To Pop Popcorn:
1. Press POPCORN. "Popcorn" will scroll in the upper text area.
2. Press START.
"Sensing" will appear on the display. When the stop time is
reached, the oven will shut off automatically. If enabled, end-
of-cycle tones will sound.
3. Press CANCEL (or CANCEL UPPER on combo models) to
turn off the oven.
Boil & Simmer
Boil & Simmer is a sensor function, and uses only microwaves to
simmer your food.
Follow recommended water and food amounts that appear
on the display.
For best cooking results, do not use plastic wrap as a cover
during the Boil & Simmer cycle.
Do not remove the lid while the dish is still in the oven, as the
rush of steam will disrupt the sensor readings.
Use a microwave-safe dish with a loose fitting lid.
Use the following chart as a guide.

Use the Manual Simmer function for foods such as soups,
