@Mr. Anderson Hi, thanks for your reply. I have already carried out the servicing on the unit. Cleaned contacts, switches and potentiometers. All functions work ok, the problem is with the Display continuosly flashing, not going completely on and off., but the information on it. It is flashing with pree start, although the stop/start button itself works as it should do. Stops, starts sequence and illuminates when pressed, just seems not to be acknowledged by the display.

The provided context does not explicitly mention a flashing display issue on the Roland V-Combo VR-09. However, potential causes could include a low battery (requiring recharging or an AC adaptor), a memory error, or a system malfunction that may require a factory reset. Checking power connections, formatting the USB drive, or resetting the unit might help resolve the issue.

Hi, I **** attempting to repair Roland VR09 Keyboard, it had coffee spilled in it. All seems to be working ok, apart from the display keeps prompting to press start, even though it does update following button presses, and start/stop works and led lights. In addition the display is blinking on-off, maybe it's normal when waiting for start button to be pressed.

A coffee spill could cause a display issue on the Roland V-Combo VR-09 due to liquid damage affecting internal components. Possible causes include:

1. Short-Circuited Electronics – Liquid may have shorted internal circuits, disrupting the display.
2. Corroded Connections – Coffee residue may cause corrosion on circuit board connections.
3. Damaged Display Components – The spill may have affected the display panel or related circuitry.
4. Power or Battery Issues – If the keyboard runs on batteries, liquid exposure could affect power delivery.
5. Unresponsive Buttons – Sticky residue from coffee could interfere with button functions needed to control the display.

To address the issue, power off the device immediately, allow it to dry completely, and consult a professional technician if problems persist.
