Cleaning and Storage

Always switch off and disconnect the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning.
Also make sure the kettle has cooled down if recently in use. Wipe down the exterior of
the kettle with a damp cloth. Use only water when cleaning the exterior as solvents could
damage the finish.
WARNING: DO NOT immerse the kettle base, switch area, power base or power
supplcord in water or any other liquid.
Cleaning the filter
Slide the filter out from the spout for cleaning.
Take care when cleaning the filter as the mesh can be damaged, use a soft brush or
sponge to clear the mineral deposits.
Descaling/Removing Mineral Deposits
Due to using tap water, your kettle may appear discoloured inside from mineral deposits
over time. This is not rust and can easily be managed by following the below instructions.
WARNING: To prevent damage to the appliance do not use alkaline cleaning agents or
metal scourers when cleaning; use a soft cloth and mild detergents.
To remove the mineral deposits you can purchase kettle descaler products from most
leading supermarkets, department stores and hardware stores. Be sure to read the
instructions before use.
Alternatively you can use everyday household products to clean your kettle as well.
1. Open the kettle lid and fill with 3 cups of white vinegar and top up with water to
maximum level. Allow to stand overnight. DO NOT BOIL.
2. Remove the solution, refill with fresh water and bring to the boil then discard the
water. Repeat and this should remove any build ups.
Storage
Ensure the kettle is turned off, unplugged, clean and dry before storing it. Store the cord in
the base and make sure the lid is closed and the kettle is correctly attached to the base.
Do not store anything on top of the kettle.
