6. CHAIN OIL TOP UP
1) ATTENTION! Top up only with a specific oil for
lubricating chainsaw chains (see Fig.24).
2) DO NOT use waste oil.
3) An oil other than that recommended may result in
damage to the bar, to the chain and to the lubrication
system.

7. STARTING AND STOPPING

ATTENTION! Comply scrupulously
with the warnings given in Section 2
above "FUNDAMENTAL SAFETY PRECAU-
TIONS".
WARNING! Only start the chain saw
when this is fully assembled and com-
plete with bar and chain.
STARTING WITH THE ENGINE COLD
Before start-up, make sure that the chain brake
is disconnected by pulling the lever (Fig.25)
towards the front handle.
1) Rest the chainsaw on a stable surface.
2) Lift the "STOP" switch lever (fig. 26 part 1).
3) Pull the air knob fully out (fig. 27 part 1). Press
the fuel bulb (Primer) fully down repeatedly (fig.
27 part 2).
4) Press the decompression valve opening
button fully down to reduce the force required to
pull the starting cable (see fig. 28).
5) Hold the chainsaw fast as shown in fig. 29.
– Make sure the area around the bar and the
chain is free of any objects.
6) Give the starter cord handle a strong pull, until
the first coughs from the engine (normally not
more than 4/5 times) fig. 29.
In the event of the decompression valve having
lifted up (closed) press it again.
