Problem
White balance bracketing unavail-
able.
Results for Optimize Image vary
from shot to shot.
Metering can not be changed.
Exposure compensation can not be
used.
"Tall" (portrait-orientation) photos are
displayed in "wide" (landscape) orien-
tation.
Can not delete photo.
Some photos are not displayed dur-
ing playback.
Message is displayed stating that no
images are available for playback.
Can not change print order.
Can not print pictures via direct USB
connection.
Can not select photo for printing.
Photo is not displayed on TV.
Can not copy photos to computer.
Can not use Camera Control.
Date of recording is not correct.
Solution
• NEF (RAW) or NEF+JPEG image quality option
selected for image quality.
• White balance set to
Temp.) or
(White Balance Preset).
• Multiple exposure is being recorded.
Select Custom and choose setting other than
Auto for Image Sharpening, Tone Compen-
sation, and Saturation.
Autoexposure lock is in eff ect.
Choose exposure mode P, S, or A.
• Select On for Rotate Tall.
• Photo was taken with Off selected for Auto
Image Rotation.
• Camera orientation was changed while shut-
ter-release button was pressed in continuous
mode.
• Camera was pointed up or down when shot
was taken.
Photo is protected: remove protection.
Select All for Playback Folder. Note that Cur-
rent will automatically be selected when next
photo is taken.
Select All for Playback Folder.
Memory card is full: delete photos.
Set USB to PTP.
Photo is a RAW (NEF) image. Transfer picture to
computer and use supplied software or Nikon
Capture 4 Version 4.4 or later (available sepa-
rately) to print photo.
Choose correct video mode.
Choose correct USB option.
Set USB to PTP.
Set camera clock.
