The weight of the sander supplies adequate pressure. Let the sanding disc and
sander do the work. Applying additional pressure only wears sanding discs
rapidly. Excessive pressure will overload the motor causing possible damage from
motor overheating and can result in inferior work. Any finish or resin on wood
may soften from the frictional heat. Do not hold the sander in one spot too long.
Sanding in one spot too long will cause uneven sanding and gouging of the work.
WARNING!
Make sure the sanding disc comes to a complete stop before setting
the tool down. A spinning disc could cause the tool to rotate resulting
in damage to the tool or inury to the operator
APPLYING WAX/POLISH
Apply wax/polish according to the manufacturer's instructions printed on the
label of the wax or polish container. Some polishes should be buffed while damp,
where others must be allowed to dry.
T o a p p l y w a x / p o l i s h :
1. Hold the PS7000 in front and away from you, keeping it clear of the
workpiece.
2. Put wax/polish either directly on the surface or on the applicator pad
according to the wax manufacturer's directions.
3. Start the tool at low speed and apply the wax/polish evenly with a long
sweeping motion, back and forth, keeping the tool flat against the workpiece.
Spread a light coat over a small area. Do not hold the tool in one spot.
4. Move the tool evenly over the work area, allowing it to operate freely
without unnecessary pressure.
Note: The PS7000 was designed so that its weight alone will provide adequate
pressure for applying wax or polish.
