11. Remove the eight base side screws securing the palm rest/upper case module to the
lower case assembly.

12. Turn the computer over and open the LCD panel.
13. Locate the small gaps between the upper case and lower case, and insert a small
flat-blade screwdriver or non-marring scribe into each gap to separate the one from the
other. Once the upper case is separated, lift it off the lower case.
