Operating Instructions

Dear Customer,
Thank you for the trust you have placed in us by buying a Metabo power tool. Each Metabo power tool is
carefully tested and subject to strict quality controls by Metabo's quality assurance. Nevertheless, the
service life of a power tool depends to a great extent on you. Please observe the information contained
in these instructions and the enclosed documentation. The more carefully you treat your Metabo power
tool, the longer it will provide dependable service.

Declaration of conformity
We hereby declare at our sole responsibility that
this product conforms to the standards and
normative documents mentioned on page 2.

Specified conditions
of use
The tool is designed for separating or cutting
primarily mineral materials, such as reinforced
concrete, masonry and road surfacing, at firm
support by the surface to be cut and without the
use of water.
Materials generating dust or vapour detrimental to
health while being worked must not be cut.

regulations and the enclosed safety information
must be observed.

Special safety information
Read and understand the
enclosed safety information
(red booklet) and operating
instructions before operating the
power tool. Keep all documents
supplied with the power tool and pass them on
with the tool.
For your own protection and the
protection of your power tool,
observe the passages marked by
this symbol!
Always wear safety goggles, gloves, hearing
protection and work shoes when working with your
power tool!
Wear safety goggles
Before starting work make sure (e.g. with a metal
detector) that there are no power, water or gas
lines in the wall at the spot the chase is to be cut.
When working with the wall chaser always use
the side handle (2) supplied with the tool.
Ensure sufficient ventilation of the
jobsite! Work with dust collection
only. The dust collector used must
be suitable for collecting stone
dust! If these measures are not
sufficient, wear respirator
complying with EN 149!
Recommended filter efficiency grade: P2. Material
containing asbestos may not be worked.
The speed specified on the diamond cutting
blades must be equal to, or higher than the
machine's idle speed.
