Important: Safety regulations and your own safety make it
imperative to use the right guard with a given
cutting tool!
warning: Use only the cutting tool described here! Do not
use any other cutting tools! the use of any other cutting
tools can lead to increased risk of accident as well as
damage to the trimmer!

Installing the trimmer head

E
cAUtIOn: Before installing the trimmer head, always switch
off the motor and disconnect the power plug!

Insert a an angled screwdriver in the hole (E/9) and turn the
trimmer head slightly until it is blocked.

Unscrew the trimmer head by turning in the direction of the
arrow, and remove the winding guard (E/10).
note:
The trimmer is supplied with the trimmer head and winding guard
already installed. The arrow on the guard shows the rotation
direction of the trimmer head.

Plug the trimmer cable plug (F/11) to the extension cable
socket.

Run the extension cable through the opening (F/12) and
over the cable holder (F/13), and pull it tight.

Connect the extension cable to the mains power supply.
Follow accident prevention instructions! Do not start the
trimmer until it has been fully assembled and inspected!
Starting
-
Get a good footing, and make sure that the trimmer head is
not touching the ground or other objects.
-
Grasp the rear grip (G/14), thereby depressing the grip safety
(G/15), and grasp the forward grip firmly (G/17). Press the
ON/OFF switch (G/16).
Stopping
-
Release the ON/OFF switch (G/16).
cAUtIOn: The cutting tool will still continue to run for a time
after the motor has been switched off!
note: The ON/OFF switch should spring back to the OFF position
when released. In addition, it should not be possible to depress
the ON/OFF switch if the grip safety (G/14) is not depressed.
Do not affix the ON/OFF switch in the ON position!
