APPENDIX 1: AIR CIRCULATION BLOWER
The blower motor bearings are factory lubricated for years of trouble free operation.
Premium Ecomaxx Wood heaters are fitted as standard with a room air HEPA grade filtration
system, as explained further in this manual, this filter eliminates dust from the sealed blower area
thus eliminating the need for end user intervention.
Furthermore, Ecomaxx Woodheating Pty Ltd expressly implies that maintenance inside the
pedestal area should only be carried out by a qualified representative of Ecomaxx Woodheating
Pty Ltd.
There may be risk of electric shock causing personal injury even death by opening the sealed
pedestal chamber.
Opening the pedestal unit will void all warranties, whether expressed or implied.
The blower is installed on the wood fire to increase the flow of air past heat exchange surfaces and
to help circulate warm air in the room. When used regularly, the blower can provide a small
increase in efficiency, up to 2 percent. However, the use of a blower should not be used as a way
to gain more output from a wood fire that is undersized for the space it is intended to heat.
Before turning‐on the blower, allow the wood fire to reach operating temperature (approximately
one hour). The increased airflow from the blower cools the firebox and could affect the start‐up
combustion efficiency if the blower is turned on too early.
BLOWER SWITCH
3 Speed, 4 Position, rotary. Off, Low, Medium and High.
CAUTION: ENSURE THAT THE BLOWER'S POWER CORD IS NOT IN CONTACT WITH ANY SURFACE
OF THE WOOD FIRE TO PREVENT ELECTRICAL SHOCK OR FIRE DAMAGE. DO NOT RUN THE
POWER CORD BENEATH THE WOOD FIRE.
