(9) Be sure t o apply grease t o the inside of the
oil seal lip t o prevent damage t o the lip. Also
before installing apply grease t o both the lip and
the shaft.

j10) Be sure t o apply grease t o the O-ring and t o
the O-ring oil seal, and t o the slot, shaft and hole
before installing.
(11)
Press-fit: To prevent deforminy the bushings
and bearings during press fitting be sure t o use ei-
ther a mandrel or an appropriate press fitting tool
for this operation.
(12) When assembling the bearings do not hit
them directly with a hammer. Use a drive-in tool
and plate as much as possible and h i t them with
a hammer if needed.
(13) When assembling the gear and stepped collar,
be sure t o put them i n the right direction. Pay spe-
cial attention t o the direction of the gear chamber.
(16) Apply the proper amount of bond t o the
packing, and be sure that none gets on the inside
of the case or the surface of the teeth. It can
lead t o a clogged oil strainer or i t s malfunction.

Apply bond to both sides of the packing.
(18)
The circular ring and circlips sometimes be-
come weak after they have been removed, con-
sequently check them before assembly.
(19) The following points should be observed
when connecting the "housing. assembly clutch"
to both the transmission case and the gear case
assembly final reduction:
a)
when the main transmission i s i n the neu-
t r a l position the P.T.O. transminion is in either
1 or 2 .
b)
It is connected t o the P.T.O. shaft when
the latter moves clockwise.

When assemblying the clutch disc assembly,
six bolts 8 x 20 should be attached after they
have passed through the shaft and main driving.
(14) Tighten the bolts and nuts t o their specified
tightening torque. The screws are made of light
alloy and should not be overtightened.
