- Service Precautions

1. You should conform to the regulations governing the product (safety, radio and noise, and other regulations),
and should keep the safety during servicing by following the safety instructions described in this manual.
2. Be careful in handling ICs. Some ICs such as MOS type are so fragile that they can be damaged by electrostatic
induction.

- DVD and CD section precaution

1. EJECT LOCK MODE for DVD mechanism
In order to enter "EJECT LOCK" mode, reset start while pressing the "VOL+" and "V.ADJ" keys together.
Pressing the "VOL+" and "V.ADJ" keys until monitor backlight is turned on.
In order to exit "EJECT LOCK" mode, follow the same steps to enter this mode.
2. Before disassembling the unit, be sure to turn off the power. Unplugging and plugging the connectors
during power-on mode may damage the ICs inside the unit.
3. To protect the pickup unit from electrostatic discharge during servicing, take an appropriate treatment
(shorting-solder) by referring to "the DISASSEMBLY" .

AVH-P6800DVD/UC
When AVH-P6800DVD/UC is connected to either NAVI or VDP, the NAVI screen or the VDP screen may flicker left
and right. In such a case, press RESET while pressing SRC key and V.ADJ key. After the reset, a high tone blip sound
will be heard, and either NAVI or VDP will be displayed at the center of the screen. The default setting is VDP.
Even if the setting is made to VDP, it is not a problem as long as the NAVI screen is properly displayed.
