Windows NT Service Pack Setup
NOTE
<For U.K.>
Select [English [United Kingdom]] in [Regional Settings]-
[Input Locales].
1 Set the CD for Windows NT Service Pack 5 into the CD-
ROM drive. Microsoft Internet Explorer will begin to
run automatically.
2 Scroll down the display then select [Install Service Pack 5 for
Intel-based systems].
3 At the [Confirm File Open], select [Open].
4 Read the [Software License Agreement], and check [Ac-
cept license Agreement], then select [Install].
5 Select [Restart].
(Perform step 32 after Windows restarts.)
Installing Sound Driver
1 In [Start] – [Settings] – [Control Panel], select [Multime-
dia].
2 Select [Devices], then press [Add].
3 Select [Unlisted or Updated Driver], then press [OK].
4 Input [c:\util\drivers\sound], then press [OK].
5 Select [NeoMagic MagicMedia 256], then press [OK].
6 At the [NeoMagic MagicMedia 256 Series Driver], press
[OK].
7 At the confirmation message, press [Don't restart now].
8 At the [MultiMedia Properties], press [OK].
Installing modem
1 In [Start] – [Settings] – [Control Panel], select [Ports].
2 Press [Add].
3 Set [COM Port Number] to [5].
4 Set [Base I/O Port Address] to [108].
5 Set [Interrupt Request Line(IRQ)] to [10].
6 Add the check mark to [FIFO Enabled], then press [OK].
7 Press [Don't Restart Now].
8 Press [Close].
9 In [Start] – [Settings] – [Control Panel], select [Modem].
10 Add the check mark to [Don't detect modem; I will select
it from a list], then press [Next].
11 Press [Have Disk].
12 Input [c:\util\drivers\modem], then press [OK].
13 Select [Xircom MPCI Modem 56 WinGlobal], then press
[Next].
14 Select [COM5], then press [Next].
15 Press [Finish], then press [Close].
Installing Touchscreen
1 In [Start] - [Run], input [c:\util\drivers\tscreen\setup.exe],
then select [OK].
2 Select [Next].
3 Read the License Agreement, then select [Next].
4 At the [Folder], select [Next].
5 At the [Directory], select [Next].
6 Confirm [Place icons in system tray] is selected, then
select [Next].
7 At the [Serial Settings], remove the check mark for [Auto
Detect].
8 Select [Custom] in [Ports], then press [Advanced].
9 Set [Address] to [2E8] and set [Irq] to [7], then press
[OK].
10 Press [Next].
11 At the [Ready to install], select [Next].
12 At the [Complete], select [Finish].
13 If the display asks you to restart Windows, select [Yes].
(Perform step 32 after Windows restarts.)
14 Calibration is executed automatically. Touch the center
of each red cross by following the on-screen instructions.
Installing Phoenix APM
(Windows NT Service Pack 5 has to be installed before the
following steps.)
1 In [Start] - [Run], input [c:\util\drivers\apm\setup.exe],
then select [OK].
2 Press the button to install.
At the [APM 2.0 for NT Setup], select [OK].
If the display asks you to restart Windows, select [Re-
start Now].
3 When the message [Press <F2> to enter SETUP] is dis-
played, press F2 and then run the Setup Utility.
4 Turn off and remove the CD-ROM drive and PC Card.
5 Press F10 , then press [Yes].
(Perform step 32 after Windows restarts.)
If the message [Service Control Manager] displayed, press
[OK].
