If it should malfunction or break down, grounding provides a path of least resistance for electric current to reduce the risk of electric shock. MAINTENANCE WEEKLY: 1. Inspect and clean the vacuum inlet filter. Open the bag door at the rear of the machine. At the bottom of the chamber is the inlet filter. Remove the filter from the machine by pulling it off of the vacuum motor.
