You can enhance your navigation experience by modifying aspects of your route and route calculation.

Complete the following:
If you want to...
avoid highways
avoid toll roads
avoid ferry routes
Your preferences are automatically saved.

move the Route Type slider towards Fastest to give high priority to the fastest time when
calculating a route.
move the Route Type slider towards Shortest to give high priority to the shortest distance
when calculating a route.
Then...
select the Highways check box in the Avoid column.
select the Toll roads check box in the Avoid column.
select the Ferries check box in the Avoid column.
