1.
Check control
Fuel valve OFF.

Check fuel.

bad gasoline.

Take engine to

servicing
malfunction,
dealer, or refer
ignition
to shop
malfunction,
manual.

Correction
Move lever to ON
position.
Move lever to
CLOSED position
unless the engine
is warm.
Turn engine switch
to ON position.
Fill with the
recommended oil
to the proper level
(p. 8).
Refuel (p. 7).
Drain fuel tank and
carburetor (p. 12).
Refuel with fresh
gasoline(p. 7).
Gap or replace
spark plug (p. 10).
Dry and reinstall
spark plug. Start
engine with
throttle lever in
MAX. position.
Replace or repair
faulty components
as necessary.
Correction
Clean or replace
filter elements
(p. 9).
Drain fuel tank and
carburetor (p. 12).
Refuel with fresh
gasoline (p. 7).
Replace or repair
faulty components
as necessary.
