Priority Levels in Calculation

This calculator performs operations according to the fol-
lowing priority:
1 Functions such as sin, x
¿y
2 y
x
x
,
3 ×, ÷
4 +, –
5 =, M+ and other calculation ending instruction
• Calculations which are given the same priority level are
executed in sequence.
• If parentheses are used, parenthesized calculations have
precedence over any other calculations.
• Parentheses can be continuously used up to 15 times
unless pending calculations exceed 4.
INITIAL SET UP
Mode Selection
Normal mode: ª
Used to perform arithmetic operations and function calcula-
tions. BIN, OCT, HEX, CPLX and STAT are not displayed.
Binary, Octal, Decimal, or Hexadecimal system mode:
@ê, @î, @í or @ì
Complex number mode: @π
Used to perform arithmetic operations with complex num-
bers.
To clear this mode, press @π.
